Virtual Heroes Inc. (VHI) contributes code and content to the America's Army game, training applications based on the game and the underlying modular technology platform.
VHI operates at the nexus of where gaming and graphics technology meet with the needs of training and simulation for mission-critical job skills. This space is known as the "Serious Games" market.
Using established operational doctrine and instructional design techniques, VHI creates Game-Based, Mission-Critical Training and Next Generation Learning Solutions for Federal, Corporate and Academic Clients.
The Virtual Heroes team is located in Raleigh, North Carolina and is led by Executive Producer Jerry Heneghan. In 2004, VHI conceived of and architected the America's Army Platform Concept to increase the Army's return on investment for the America's Army strategic communications tool.
The team creates distributed simulations that provide learning environments for use within the Army in the following domains: - Force Protection
- Adaptive Thinking and Leadership
- Maintenance Training
- Convoy Survivability Training
- Mission Rehearsal
- Shortage MOS Training
Current focus areas include:- Artificial Intelligence (Individual, Squad and Command Level)
