This team, led by Bernard Reger, is purposing the America's Army platform for Future Force Visualization and Prototyping, which includes applications ranging from mission rehearsal to modeling advanced weapons systems and fire control systems.

The Future Applications team is utilizing the America's Army platform to provide an immersive virtual environment for use in the following domains:


  • Robotics (TALON, SWORDS, and PackBot Robot Trainers)
  • Interior and exterior weapons ballistics
  • New U.S. Army vehicles and weapon systems
  • Development of Training, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs)
  • Future Force Warrior Visualization
  • Future Combat Systems Visualization
  • Special Weapons storage security systems

The Future Applications team also includes the Picatinny Platoon, a group of volunteer military and civilian members that serve as active Beta testers for America's Army.
