The PackBot robot, developed by iRobot, is a new weapon in the arsenal of the U.S. Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Soldier. PackBot is being used to destroy improvised explosive devices (IEDs) used by enemy forces. America's Army development teams are working with the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Technology Directorate at the U.S. Army Armaments Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) to develop a PackBot robot trainer using America's Army technology.
